Sneaker Obsessed?

OSD is happy to announce the return of it’s acclaimed footwear industry training program called SOLEcial Studies. Having previously been taught in New York at the Parsons New School of Design, and the University of Oregon as part of the Pensole Footwear Design Academy, the program eventually spun off into it’s own 8 week journey being taught at MTV’s Headquarters in New York City, and online to sneaker lovers in 5 different countries around the world.

Something Wicked This Way Comes…

The diverse and densely populated Upper East Side of Manhattan is defined as the area between 59th Street, 96th Street, Central Park and the East River.  Once known as the ‘Silk Stocking District’, it boasts some of the most expensive real estate in the United States and, given the population density and high per capita income, is often touted as the home of our country’s greatest concentration of individual wealth.

As of the 2000 census, there were 207,543 people residing in the Upper East Side. Including some of the most famous of New York’s celebrities and historical upper-class families—Astors, Rockefellers, Roosevelts, Kennedys, Whitneys, Dukes, to name a few— guess who is crashing the party come this Oct.? Yours Truly! Coming soon RIME EAST will be moving in to new digs just off of Lexington Ave. This will allow us in addition to our original Brooklyn location to offer one of the finest curated sneaker selections in the city not to mention our unbeatable customer service to our loyal clientele Uptown that has been making the trek down to Brooklyn over these years. Stay tune for details…

Reebok has dropped yet another retro release from their archives. The classic running model, Classic Leather has been given the Vintage treatment, revitalizing the popular sneaker from the late 80s. The grey colorway constructed using premium nubuck materials. To reiterate the vintage aesthetic, the shoelace, midsole, and sideline are coordinated in off-white color. Gold Reebok logo on the heel and gum outsole completes the vintage collection.

New for the adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012 collection, the JS Wings Wedge Butterfly for women has taken off. The toe and three-stripes are a call back to the adidas Originals heritage, but the rest of this man-made creation is pure Jeremy Scott. In addition to the striking butterfly wings, the boots have a wedge heel and tonal black leather exterior, with laces that loop through the removable wings. The JS Wings Wedge Butterfly by adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott is available now but there is only limited time before they take flight.

Nike Air Max 1 “USA”

The USA killed it at the Olympic games and Nike has doen the same with these Air Max 1. The USA colorway that makes use of gym red and thunder blue is classic and not to be missed but the suede and mesh runner won’t be on the shelves for long though.

Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka “Rainbow Pack”

Today I cracked open a box from UPS which had these Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka “Rainbow Pack” inside. Coming in a choice of beige or black, both utilize suede builds, which are highlighted with multi-colored nylon woven accents, hence the “rainbow” nickname. Anchoring both looks are white soles, which feature small specs. I know more than a few heads on staff that have been waiting for these to arrive and let me just say they didn’t disappoint.

Available no while supplies last.
