PUMA And M.A.C Cosmetics Collaborate On The Suede

PUMA continues to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Suede, with countless releases this year. The PUMA Suede 50 saw collaborations with pop culture influencers from Big Sean to Hello Kitty. Since its debut in the late 60s, with the help of the music world, fashion and pop culture, the Suede has found its way from the courts to iconic status. Now there’s a collaboration for the beauty obsessed. The brand found inspiration for the latest Suede collaboration with one of the most iconic makeup brands of the last few decades. PUMA and M.A.C cosmetics have teamed up to  create three color-ways of the Suede, each inspired by one of the make up brand’s most popular lip colors. The cosmetic powerhouse gives their interpretation of the PUMA Suede. The pack is made up of three tonal lipstick inspired color-ways. The “Créme d’Nude” is  a peachy blush color with coral laces and a rose-gold PUMA X MAC sticker and matching  rose-gold outsole, while the “Lady Danger” is a bright red-orange upper with matching laces and texturized outsole. The “Sin”, like the lipstick is inspired by a bold burgundy hue, which contrasts with the satin effect of the matching sole. The MAC x PUMA Collection features three distinct color themes of the classic PUMA Suede silhouette, highlighting the suede uppers on top of a matching tonal outsole. This collaboration is timely as street-wear has drifted into a spectrum where it can be associated with perfectly done hair and makeup. In an era where models like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner are garnering interest on their low slung adidas track pants, or Rihanna’s airpot outfits, all while wearing glossy lips, there is no limit to the sort of glamour associated with current street/sportswear. The PUMA x MAC Suede pack will be available at rime locations on May 17th.Screen Shot 2018-05-10 at 10.28.15 AMScreen Shot 2018-05-10 at 10.31.24 AM
