Married to the Mob and Burton reprise their relationship for a spring 2018 collection, the third collaboration from the duo. The two brands first collaborated eight years ago with a strong point of view, and that continues with their latest. MTTM has always been a brand about female empowerment and diversity, and although those things are trending right now, MTTM has never done it a forced way, it’s organically alive in the latest range. Married To The Mob’s Latest Capsule

New York based streetwear brand Married to the Mob offers a seven piece capsule collection inspired by female empowerment, symbolized by a red rose. This sort of collection is no big surprise in the current climate, with such movements as the me too movement, especially with a brand like MTTM, which was founded in 2004 to provide a space for women in the male dominated streetwear industry. The range includes pullover hoodie sweatshirts, long-sleeved tees and baseball caps. The color scheme of gold, red and black nicely compliments the use of the rose graphic. Married to the Mob is a very New York City brand, it’s rooted firmly in their aesthetics. The latest drop from the women’s streetwear brand takes on the energy of summer in the city. The offering includes tees, a cycling short and bandeau top, with stand outs being the one piece swimsuit and the lemon-yellow body-con dress with branding on the sleeves. The pieces are bold and perfect for any girl with some fearless attitude.

New York based brand Married To The Mob’s seasonal collection is filled with attitude. The street-wear focused, female empowered brand offers on trend bomber jackets, camouflage separates and the usual bitchisms, ranging from “Special Bitch” to “Hard job Being Good”. The “Please” turtleneck crop top is one of the stand outs, including the camo windbreaker with reflective detailing. There are two version of a MTTm baseball jersey, one in the camo print and the other in olive. A dad hat and air freshener rounds out the range. It’s another stellar offering from MTTM.

NYC based women’s streetwear brand Married to the Mob are known for being unapologetic. For fall, the brand offers a sporty chic collection that’s inspired by the athleisure trend. The range includes cropped baseball tees, logo jerseys, joggers, caps and cropped tank tops. The stand outs are the bomber jackets made of satin and embroidered with the brand’s Married To The Mob name in bold letters. The leggings set with branding down the sides and on the bands of the sports bra are also standouts, that can be worn together or separately for that chic-city-errand-running-day.

New Married To The Mob At Rime

The spring drop for Married To The Mob is so New York, ranging from flirty to strong. Some of the standout pieces from the collection have arrived at rime locations, like the brand’s take on a little black dress, the active-wear set consisting of a high neck cropped top and pants that can be worn separately and there’s the vibrant, spring ready floral print on the white jersey and track shorts with side paneling. Staying true to the brand’s tough New York street-wear aesthetic, Married To The Mob delivers a Spring 2016 collection full of attitude. There are pieces sold separately that can be viewed as sets like the grey leggings and sports bra set. the Sports bra has a high neck, with an adjustable zipper, that can effortlessly be paired with a pair of boyfriend jeans. And the paneled leggings have zippers, that look great with the bra as work-out gear. Other pieces include crop tops, muscle tees with the MTTM traditional bitchisms that are expected from the band. There is a floral pattern that takes over shorts, a jersey and track jacket, that could easily brighten up any outfit. The simplicity of the black logo dress is a nice offering, it transitions nicely fro day to evening, its the little black dress for the MOB girl. Another stand out is the underwear set that is a play on the Calvin Klein underwear branding, also the bra can be worn for a detail affect under a crop top with the MTTM elastic band showing. While some pieces scream confidence its the combination of the subtle pieces that makes the collection very MTTM. Select pieces are currently available at rime locations.

WBW: Married To The Mob Spring/Summer 2016

Married to The Mob continues their women against the status-quo with their Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Over the past eleven years the brand has become known for their bitchisms—the feisty phrases of the moment that decorate the clothes. The latest collection stays true to the MTTM aesthetic of effortless on the go bold looks. The collection consists of crop tops, graphic muscle, boyfriend tees, leggings, bra set and a football jersey. There’s also crop top sets, a hoody and a pink dad hat with the MTTM logo embroidered on the front. The standouts are the long sleeve crop top and skirt set that hugs every curve of a woman’s body, the set can also be a knockout if worn as separates. Another highlight of the collection is the boyfriend tee with the crying cartoon girl with a bitchism in a thought bubble. The collection is filled with a lot of Married To The Mob attitude.

WBW: Married To The Mob Is Back At Rime!

MTTM is back at rime and the brand’s reintroduction into the shop is an athletic set. Know for their Bitchisms and an aesthetic that allows every girl to stand out where ever they are, this set will make you the star at the gym or on your running trail. The set is a vibrant camo in red and purple. The jacket has a high neck and hood for those colder days. Under the jacket you can wear the sportswear in the same print, what sets this apart from other sports bra is the easy front zipper closure. It can also be worn with a pair of jeans. The yoga pants in the same print has a drawstring closure, with a high waist and features a hidden inner back pocket for any sort of items you’re looking to stash away. All three items have a reflective MTTM branding on the right side. They can be worn together or look stella paired with other pieces for a non-workout look. All three pieces are available at both rime locations.

The Rime Crew came out to support the very first women’s street wear brand Married To The Mob created by HFIC (head feminist in charge, i just made that up) Leah McSweeney. The most official ladies were definitely in the building and were supported by our lesser male counterparts (lol just kidding guys, we love you). Bay area rap artist Lil Debbie (formerly 1/3 of White Girl Mob) was also in attendance in full MOB Holiday ’13 apparel. Stay tuned for the collection in store this holiday season!
