Converse’s All Star Lift Ripple Ox

From simple beginnings on the basketball court, converse sneakers have reached an iconic status. With a rebellious and unique spirit, the classic Chuck Taylor receives constant updates with fresh color-ways and prints, and with that sort of versatility and options,  they have become a wardrobe staple. The latest style, the All Star Lift Ripple Ox is done in a minimal upper, done in “Black” and “Natural” is made from durable canvas and features a tonal stitching, and sturdy laces. Stepping it up a level, literally, the sneaker has a platform sole with an exaggerated rippled outsole. The sneaker offers a cool option to a lot of the current trends happening, like platform sneakers, chunky shoes and the 90′s wave of nostalgia. These are currently available at rime’s Upper East Side location and can also be found here at the online shop.

Vince Staples Has A Converse Collaboration Releasing This Week

Vince Staples is the latest musician collaborating with a shoe company. The rapper is set to drop a three-piece capsule collection with Converse on January 25th. Staples is the lattest rapper to collaborate with the sneaker giant, following designs from Tyler, the Creator. The collaboration feature two of Converse’s classic silhouettes; the Chuck 70 Hi and the Chuck 70 Ox. The musician’s version will come with orange accents, an aquarium print in the inside and features graphics from his 2017 album Big Fish Theory. The color theme, and prints, are a nod to the LP, which features a goldfish on the cover. Both silhouettes are built with an aquarium sockliner, Big Fish Theory graphic outsole and “Vince Staples” embroidered on the collar. The chuck 70 Hi has a Big Fish screen print in orange that is a nice contrast against the sneaker’s black tongue. The collaboration also offers a hoodie with the “SEA” acronym on the back, a reference to the rapper’s Section Eight Arthouse radio show, the Chuck 70 Hi also has the acronym 3D printed on the heel  with the “A” placed to cross with the heel stay and transfer onto the foxing tape. The high-top has a navy upper with orange details, while the low-top features an all-over orange scheme with a transparent outsole that reveals a goldfish eye graphic. The collaboration clearly celebrates Staple’s Big Fish Theory album. These will be available on January 25th at rime locations.

Tyler, The Creator’s Golf le Fleur Releasing Januray 18

Tyler, the Creator continues his collaborative relationship with Converse with a fresh release for the year. After a series of popular One Star collaborations last year and his first Golf le Fleur signature in November, the musician’ signature look is peeped for spring with a pastel release. Done in Ink Blue, the sneaker uses suede uppers with two-toned logos. The musicians custom floral logo takes center stage, it comes embroidered above the One Star’s iconic star cut-out.  The distinctly customized insoles are unique to the artist  and converse’s, eccentric aesthetic. An off-white midsole and an orange-based flower print at the bottom rounds out the look of the sneaker. Accompanying the sneaker is  an apparel capsule, that features Golf le Fleur branding on the T-shirts and hoodies. These are releasing in store at rime locations on January 18, but will be available at midnight at the start of Wednesday the 18th on rimency.com.Screen Shot 2018-01-15 at 4.04.01 PM Screen Shot 2018-01-15 at 4.10.48 PM Screen Shot 2018-01-15 at 4.10.55 PM Screen Shot 2018-01-15 at 4.11.13 PM

Liquid Splattered Converse

Liquid Gold and Silver finishes on your favorite lifestyle models are nothing new. Nike Sportswear started the trend with models like the Air Max 1 and then the look was seen on other brands like adidas, on their adidas Superstar shell-toes.Converseis now getting in on the action with these women’s exclusive Chuck Taylor all star pairs. Available in metallic silver high top or a premium gold low, the monochromatic uppers exude a certain luminous finish, while the midsole has a paint splattered effect. Grab a pair at both rime locations.

Converse by John Varvatos

John Varvatos is back at Rime with his Converse collaboration. Two styles are available at Rime East with the All Star Low Sneaker, a worn-and-weathered cast defines a resin-coated sneaker in a sporty low-top cut. The second would be the all black classic low top converse complete with the signature clear sole for the JV collection. Both pairs are available now at Rime East.

Back, back, back into time: Converse 1970′s Chuck Taylor All Star

Converse takes us back into time with the original 1970 silhouette of the Chuck Taylor shoe. Delightfully this time around it is equipped with a crazy comfy insole that is bouncy to the touch. As a devoted converse wearer (in the summer time of course) I can attest to the process of breaking every single pair I own. Undoubtedly the 1970 silhouette is a must cop.

Converse Jack Purcell LTT Olive Branch Camo

Another great model with premium materials, Converse continues with the release of the Jack Purcell LTT Olive Branch Camo. Constructed with a full canvas upper, this Jack Purcell iteration comes complete with an all-over camo print, white rubber sole, tonal stitching and metal eyelets. Also available in a desert camo version was well, these two styles have to be my favorite drop from Jack Purcell this year.

Converse Chuck Taylor Premium Leather

The Converse Chuck Taylor is a classic through and through which allows it to be interpreted in many various ways. This design rendition is highlighted by a premium calfskin white leather upper, and stitched sole allowing it to be resoled in the future much like a high-end dress shoe. This Chuck has turned out to be one of my favorite releases on the season. Available now at Rime.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Moto Leather Jacket

An homage to the traditional motorcycle leather riding jackets, the pair is mocked up in a supple black leather upper. Gold zipper hardware lines the lace vamp of the shoe and is completed by tonal black laces with metal eyelets. A customary Converse patch graces the inner ankle paneling of the pair with contrasting white embroidery.

Converse x Marimekko Collection

Finnish design house Marimekko is the latest brand to get tapped on the shoulder by Converse for a complete collection for the ladies. Marimekko’s classic prints will adorn the these Chuck Taylor Highs and Lows. In-store now.
