Alexander Wang X Adidas Season 2

Alexander Wang and adidas are continuing their relationship with a Season 2 drop this summer. This past spring the duo dropped their collaboration filled with activewear, taking sportswear staples and mixing them with high-fashion twists. The range was sold from unmarked vans and packaged in garbage bags. Keeping with the the distinct aesthetic of combining the parallel, Wang combines the worlds of cycling and rave culture. A visual directed by Ryan Staake showcases the athletic gear and how it seamlessly moves from work to play, showcasing bike messengers biking through the city hanging posters and delivering packages, ending their night at an underground rave. The collection mixes adidas’ highly popular sports, cycling and Wang’s intrigue with rave culture. Although the two influences are so far apart, they both share skin-tight and neon in common, which are comfortable for biking or a night of dancing. Like the first collection, the second will be sold in an unconventional way, posters and billboards advertising the range will boast the number (917)512-7715 throughout the streets of New York City. Customers will have to text the number to place orders by code, then a bike messenger, wearing the collection, delivers the package, and instead of garbage bags the pieces will be completely wrapped in duct tape.
