New Balance’s Grey Day Pack

After a relaunch of their 574 silhouette, New Balance celebrates their most iconic color theme  with Grey Day, an international celebration of the color scheme. New Balance was the first to introduce a $100 running shoe in the early 80s, and cemented their aesthetic by releasing the timeless 990 m0del in a grey-based color palette to go against the template of bright neons that were in the running shoe market at the time. The silhouette had been a favorite of dad’s and suburban coaches, but over the years has transitioned itself onto the streetwear spectrum and has become a star in streetwear and norm-core trends.  The brand is honoring that legacy with Grey Day, today, March 15th, and the 574 is at the center of the celebration. New Balance offers the 574 silhouette in distinct color-ways. The “Legacy of Grey” version of the 574 is inspired by the original color-way of the 990, the iconic grey and blue color theme from the New Balance 1300JP will also take over the 574, and a “Classic Grey” also takes over the silhouette. Stop by rime’s Upper East Side location for the New Balance Grey Day Pack.
