The latest to collaborate with PUMA is Copenhagen based brand Han Kjøbenhavn. Han Kjøbenhavn is a danish brand founded in 2008, starting with eyewear, wanting to create a high quality product at an affordable price, then launched a menswear apparel collection a year later. Scandinavian design is admired for its simplicity and functionality. Han Kjøbenhavn founder took inspiration from Copenhagen, local sports and suburban architecture for a contemporary looking collaboration. PUMA and Han Kjøbenhavn lookd at PUMA’s archive to fuse sport and fashion in a seamless way. The collection has themes of muted colors and upscale materials. The pieces utilize unexpected material mixes, like rayon, jersey and twill. A stand out piece of the collection is the trench coat, inspired by the iconic trench coats that popularized Copenhagen’s football terraces, it features rich wool, a stand up collar and clean PUMA x Han Kjøbenhavn embroidery. Danish weather and architecture is infused through the pieces like a sweater with a premium three layer bonded fabric construction with a stand collar, finished with a contrasted PUMA x Han Kjøbenhavn embroidery and a gold zipper. On the accessories side is a back pack that has a clean nostalgic feel. Multiple straps allow the silhouette to be worn as a backpack or a shopper, with fleece-lined details and a metal fixture on the strap to keep eyewear secure. The beanie is inspired by the iconic fisherman beanie, with extra soft ribbed finish and jersey lining for comfort and warmth. On the footwear side of things the Danish brand reworked PUMA’s iconic Clyde silhouette with premium leather uppers and co-branding only visible on the inside. PUMA’s new Tsugi Kori silhouette gets wrapped in a plush suede and leather as well as a knitted ankle collar. The collection will be available at rime locations October 7th.
