NIke AM 95 Sneakerboot

For fall/winter Nike is reinventing the Air Max 95 by making it resemble a boot. Designers from the ACG line came in to recreate the performance shoe, turning it towards the All Conditions Gear side of things.  An extension wrap is created around the sneaker, completed with a zipper leading to the ankle support, while the other elements of the Nike Air Max 95 sneaker stay in tact.nike-air-max-95-sneakerboot-debut-colorways-fall-2015-03 nike-air-max-95-sneakerboot-debut-colorways-fall-2015-04 nike-air-max-95-sneakerboot-debut-colorways-fall-2015-01 nike-air-max-95-sneakerboot-debut-colorways-fall-2015-05

The KD 8 Easy Euro

Nike is taking the latest drop for the KD 8 overseas. The latest color way for the Kevin Durant shoe is inspired by the euro, grey and green take over the knit uppe—the same colors for the 5Euro (grey) and 100Euro (green). While accents of orange are apparent in the toes, the orange also completely takes over the sole (the 50Euro bill). Although its called the easy Euro and uses the exact hues for the 5, 50 and 100 Euro, what about the other vibrant colors of the other bills. Maybe there’ll be an Easy Euro 2.

Fear Of God Fall 2015

Fear of God is a LA based brand, their aesthetic is a modern take on ’90s grunge. For the fall drop—which happens to be the young brand’s fourth collection—oversized  flannels, bombers, cutoff plaids and comfy hoodies have been a part of the brand’s aesthetic since it started, and continues to be so for this drop, along with their venture into denim and footwear for the first time. Many might say that flannels and ripped jeans are out of trend and a bit too 2012, but before 2012 many stylish everyday people embodied this aesthetic before Kanye made it popular, and will continue to do so after the trend really dies down for the celebs—and the rockstars of street style will still continue to dress like this while evolving the aesthetic for themselves. The styling for fear of God’s look book is all about layering, showing the consumer how many different ways the garments can be worn—the sweat-shorts over tights, flannels over hoodies and button downs over button downs over sweatshirts. Dealing with denim, the brand didn’t stop at jeans there’s also a denim overcoat. Standout experimentations could be seen in the fur-like fabric used as lining in the bomber jackets or as an effortless hoody. The long green bomber is a must have. Here’s to hoping the brand sticks to this easy-rock-star aesthetic.

WBW: Married To The Mob X Burton Capsule Collection.

Burton and MTTM have teamed up for their second capsule collection. MTTM and Burton’s unapologetic attitude about what each of their brands represents came together to create clothes that say ladies deserve the best.  MTTM has a raw take on feminism, that is refreshingly real—and plastered on their clothes as bitchisms. The holiday collection is inspired by the badass girls who love shredding up the ski trails. The collection features a camouflage legging and hoodie set, a flannel that is a happy marriage between both brands—a Burton style flannel with a MTTM saying on the back. Faux fur-lined hooded parkas and beanies and ski masks round out the collection. But the stand outs might be the quilted sweatsuits, with a hybrid logo of both brands, that scream luxury—great for the lodge and the cold streets of NYC. The collection is a balance of feminine cool with a tomboyish appeal and a bit of a no fucks given attitude, that makes the MTTM girl so special.

METAPHORE Fall/Winter 2015

METAPHORE is a Japanese brand that exudes a laid back cool effect. The clothes are classic menswear staples made with interesting materials using new production techniques. The designs stand out while still being effortless, there’re no gimmicks to the aesthetic. The clothes can easily be integrated into any wardrobe, they’re functional and practical, while aesthetically pleasing. For Fall/Winter, the collection has details that are subtle, such as visible denim pockets on the exterior of jackets, and the cream sweater with a distinct star slightly hidden in the knitting effect. The outerwear can be dressed up or down, making them perfect for any style aesthetic. The details play a large role in the collection, enhancing the cuts or the garments instead of overpowering them, setting them apart. The pants are cut close to the body for a skater flavor. Hoodies and hats are inspired by the Californian, the outerwear is made up of a classic raincoat in black and a coach jacket in green.

Women’s Blazer Mid DMB

Recently Nike hasn’t been branding their Blazer releases. The DMB Blazers are part of  a pack that includes a Roshe model. What makes this shoe a standout are the geometric bumpy textured  shapes all over the shoe in all black, giving the shoe a luxe feel. The texture of the shoe is a nice update for the Blazer, while the outsole, laces and upper heel stays the same, the vulcanized shapes make this a really cool sneaker.

Sneaker Politics X New Balance

Case 999 is the collaboration created between New Balance and Louisiana based retailer Sneaker Politics. Inspiration came from the mysteries that officers encounter on a regular basis. The uniquely themed release hits home not only for the state of Louisiana, but with attention to the uprising of crime and racial related homicides in the US. The sneaker has a deep navy suede that lies against a brown tone, with a paisley print at the tongue. Bright red accents fill the remainder of the shoe.
